With some basic seasonings, you can easily pull off this recipe. The chowder’s soup is made of chicken stock and milk, so expect a filling meal with just one bowl.
Start off by softening potatoes and carrots in seasoned chicken stock while sauteing minced onions in butter in a separate saucepan. Add the fish to the potatoes and carrots once they are soft enough. Meanwhile, gradually add milk to the sauteed onions before combining it with the simmering fish.
Baked teriyaki salmon
Who knew salmon can be made into a teriyaki? Make a unique rice meal by marinating your fish overnight in the basic teriyaki marinade and adding a bit of vegetables for a more diverse dinner. You can even cook the marinated fish in a pan if you want to make dinner right away. However, it would be better if you baked the fish instead.
The marinade consists mainly of soy sauce and brown sugar with some cornstarch, garlic powder, and ginger powder mixed in. Soak the fish in the mixture for at least 20 minutes, and lay them on a tray for baking. Cook the fish in a 350ºF oven for up to 20 minutes and thicken the marinade by stirring it in a saucepan on medium heat.

British fish pie consists mainly of poached fish, leeks, mashed potatoes, and cheese. If you want an instant dinner but don’t want soup, try making this dish. You will poach the fish in a mixture of fish stock and milk with a piece of bay leaf in it. Meanwhile, soften the leeks by stirring it in some butter.
Pour in the poaching liquid (without the bay leaf) into the leeks, add the poached fish and some chopped parsley, and season with salt and pepper. Place the fish and leeks in an oven-proof bowl and cover it with a layer of mashed potato. Sprinkle some grated cheese on top before baking it at 350ºF for up to 30 minutes.
